Velox Freerun (originally Team Velox) was founded by Martin Gardling and a group of friends on the 7th of July, year 2007.

The team first started out as a group in the local gymnastics-club  ”AIF Gymnastik” in Alingsås, Sweden. When a new gymnastics gym was built the first own classes were held and the membercount were 64.

In 2013 the popularity of Parkour and the members increased, allowing the club to only two years later build and

move into a gym completely customized for Parkour, Freerunning and Tricking.

The name was also changed in 2015 to Velox Freerun. The membercount is now 300+ members.

Velox is latin for velocity(speed) and refers to the flow and swiftness in parkour.
